Description

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a 1950's Amphenol cable with a vintage 5/8 X 27 microphone connector and newer Switchcraft male XLR end connector. Pic # 2 shows this very Amphenol connector. This was the standard for many American microphones from the 1920's to the 1970's before being discontinued in favor of the more practical XLR type. The older cable itself is soft and pliable with zero cracks or damage. The male XLR connector shows some lite exterior wear but works perfectly. Same applies to the Amphenol connector. The cable with connectors is only 8 inches in length and in very nice condition. You'll see in pics # 6 & 7 that will attach to any old mic with the common 5/8 X 27 male connection so you can use your mic with a modern XLR cable. Once the short cable is attached to your mic you can use any longer XLR cable of choice as an extension to your audio equipment.
