Description
This will not work for a 7-pin MST. Please check for your MST before ordering! This ~2 meter power cable allows you to connect a 6-pin MST motor directly to a 4-pin XLR (female) 12V power source. This cable is unreglated... the voltage you connect is what goes to the MST. These power cables use an Amphenol-Tuchel connector to connect to the MST. The 4-pin XLR connector is made by Neutrik. The cable is thicker than necessary to support long cable lengths (up to 8m) and to support being dragged along the floor. This is intended to be used with an AC/DC adapter, yet it can be used in other ways as described below. This listing includes two wires to jump the remote port on the back of the MST. You only need one, yet I've included an extra. This allows the inline switch to control on/off rather than needing to hold the MST's front button. *** This auction is for a ~2m power cable only. The power supply and MST motor are not included. Ways to Use This Cable: Sometimes people ask how they would use this cable to power their equipment. Several possibilities I've seen include: 12V AC/DC Adapter with a 4-pin XLR female plug Look for AC/DC adapters made for the Sony AC-500/AC-550, such as this eBay listing . Lithium battery with a DC barrel plug and a 4-pin XLR female to DC barrel adapter Some lithium batteries with a 12V DC barrel plug are TalentCell and Juicebox Magic Power 2.0. Fotodiox makes a 4-Pin XLR Female to 2.1mm Barrel DC adapter (CBL-C1-DC-FXLR). If you search online, you'll see other companies make similar adapters. I haven't used any of them personally. Bescor batteries with 4-pin XLR female ports Battery belts with 4-pin XLR female ports Possible Customizations Upon Request: I can customize one of these with the options below. If you request a custom cable, I will make a new listing for you. Do not purchase this listing and ask for changes. Cable length No inline switch (cheaper) 2.1mm DC barrel plug (instead of 4-pin XLR) 12V Regulated D-Tap (instead of 4-pin XLR) Unregulated D-Tap (instead of 4-pin XLR) for a 12V regulated battery/plate
